There remains a fear of doing more harm which often prevents the by-stander from initiating effective early CPR.

Some emergencies can deteriorate into cardiac arrest. For example, Cardiac chest pain. Effective first aid measures supported by additional skills, such as the use of Analgesia, can help to reduce this risk. Effective early pain relief can help to prevent the risk of cardiac arrest as well as being a principle aid of first aid.

Our aim is to help you ensure that your policies and procedures are in place to ensure minimum delay in obtaining medical assistance from the ambulance service.
